Problem in 3D window

I have been having an odd problem w/ ArchiCAD 11 v1114 USA full.

In the 3d window while in the explore mode with all working normally…when I stop exploring I right click in order to set the view, which is confirmed by an audio ping…and then I am free to proceed with my next step.

Recently it has on occasion not responded to my right click…therefore no ping…..therefore I’m stuck and all of ArchiCAD is hung. I can go click on another open program and as soon as I do the 3D window proceeds to ping.

I methodically went thru and eliminated every object, door, window, wall, roof, floor. It was not until I cleared all the sections that the problem mysteriously disappeared.

I found one section that was not showing all it should so I deleted it. If I rebuild all the sections the problem goes away....at least for a while. I have a lot of sections...and they are tied into layouts in my layout book...the project is fairly large.

My "temporary" work around for clearing the problem is to rebuild all my sections from the model. Everything rebuilds normally as best as I can tell.Once the sections are rebuilt, the explorer function in the 3D window goes back to operating normally.

I’m on Windows XP service pack2. Everything is current. Add-ons are up to date. I wish I could precisely identify when it started and what happened immediately preceeding this, but I’m getting old and my memory is fuzzy.

Any ideas or suggestions???

bumping me back up. The problem cleared up but is back again. Rebuilding sections is no longer solving the problem. My not so local vendor said he was able to duplicate the problem and reported to GS. No response. lAm I the only one??

Well, right now I don't think there are many people in the Red fort in Budapest ... be patient.

Something is definitely wrong in the 3D engine, and it has to do with the elevation tool. That much I can see, but you also did 😉
