License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In the Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings Dialog, try to set the Show Down To value to a lower value, such as -4' or something.
What is your Story Height on Story 1? Because the value needed will depend on that.

Thanks Laszlo

The floor is at 17 ft but the element I try to place is 3 ft below the floor like a roof object on a lower floor I need to see on all foors from here upward.

Set the Show Down to field to Story(s) below and in the appearing text field on its left, write a value of the difference between you highest Story and Story 1. So if your highest Story is Story 4, you would enter 3.
That should work.

Thanks it works but the logic is not transparent in the interface. The interface should state that id considers a default view from the top story downward
