Either a roof or a mesh works pretty nicely.
A roof is better if you want to set it to 1" per foot. The down side is that the roof juts down into your floor (unless you use SEOs to clip off the bottom),
The mesh is better if you have the two points already and want to draw it as a true wedge in section, but there's no way to control the slope within the mesh itself.
Confused?😉

Do you like that object? I felt it was the most complex interface for simple form I've ever seen, and it still has the same problems as a roof (sticking down into the floor)

Hello Tom,
I never use those objects so I wouldn't know.
I've made my own ramp object.
Your suggestion of using a mesh is the best I think.
Surly it is easy to calculate the required height of
the mesh nodes to get a 1" in 12" max. slope.
It just occurred to me that for a straight ramp
one could use a roof and set the bottom (eave) edge
to horizontal.

Try the Archistair demo. I haven't tried it for ramps.... but I know it has that option.

Also, try the StairMaker ramps.
