ishpalsingh,
I was able to get the intersection to work.
I used the cylinder shape for the post
and the tube shape with the tube wall thickness
set to equal the tube radius for the beam.
I selected the beam as target, the post as
operator, and did an "addition" type SEO.

ishpalsingh,
Please see attached image.
Perhaps it is clearer.
Note that even though I always select the
"Elements will use their own attributes" button,
the pen for the intersection is always a rust color.
I believe this is a known bug.

ishpalsingh,
First, SEO does not show in, or affect the plan view.
If you have to show the result of a SEO in plan
you will have to use lines and fills to fake it.
I am puzzled that you can't see the SEO in elevation.
The last image on the right is the elevation view of the
post and beam after the SEO was performed.
I can't think of any section/elevation display settings
which would cause you to not be able to see the SEO
except "rebuild and regenerate". Have you tried
holding down "option" (mac), "alt" (pc) and "command" keys
then go to Display menu and select "rebuild model S/E" ?
What do you you see in the Section/Elevation window ?

Tip:
To spend a time on "2D intersections representaion job" and do not draw all manual (or do half-manual), copy/paste from 3D view (using rect. mask) into 2d working environment.
OR
Create(save as gdl obj.) and then explode GDL Object.

ishpalsingh,
The PDF you posted was apparently made from a raster image
with such poor resolution it is impossible to see any detail
such as the knee connectors you are talking about.
Is there any way you can give us more information ?
Perhaps a detail drawing showing dimensions, material, etc.
I for one, have no idea whether this knee brace is made out of wood
or steel, how big it is, what it's shape is,
is it an assembled object or one piece.
You see the problem.
Thank you,
Peter Devlin
