Railing Tool - Custom Railing Post not showing on Floor Plan

Hello! Happy Holidays,

I am having trouble modeling with a custom post and the railing tool. I created a post and used the 'Save selection as Railing Post', but it deleted all the 2D representation. I have tried to edit MVO, as well as 2D symbol options within the railing, but I cannot get the post to display correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Operating system used: Windows 11 24H2

A custom post has no 2D projection.

Save the column you made as a custom object (not as post).

Open the library-object (select + ctrl-shift-o/command-shift-o) and change the subtype into railing post component.

This post will now be available in the post-settings

Thank you Cuba,

I also found this suggestion as a workaround: https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Modeling/Railing-Tool-Basics-How-to-create-a-2D-symbol-for-a-cus...

But I am glad to see that there was another way. Thank you so much for your help.
