License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Repeating last command.

I am a new user getting to grips with v12 (and loving it so far). One thing I miss from the 2d software I used before is being able to hit the asterisk button on the key pad to repeat the last move command. Ie if I dragged a copy of something - say a floor joist or whatever, a certain distance I could hit the asterisk button and repeat the command as many times as needed. Is there a way of doing this in AC12? Maybe a shortcut key I am unaware of? if not what is the best way of dragging multiple copies? I know I can use the multiply increment command and this works well but you have to input the number of copies you want when this can be unkown at first - I would rather input the increment and then specify the extent with the cursor.

Cmd/Ctrl+B repeats the last command, but it doesn't apply to every ArchiCAD command. You can assign any keyboard shortcut you like to the Repeat command in your Work Environment.

cmd/ctrl + D will drag
cmd/ctrl + D then hit alt will drag a copy (signified by a single + sumbol appearing on your cursor)
cmd/ ctrl + D then hit alt AND cmd/ctrl will drg multiple copies (signified by 2 + symbols on your cursor) at whatever distances you want, those distances do not have to be consistent or the same... you will need to input the distance you want to drag each copy and you click to place each copy. Escape or double clicking in the same spot ends the command.
[I don't use the tracker to input distances so i can't tell you how to do that, instead i use the coordinates box and type R-numeric input distance and also use the + or minus to signify direction if and when required....]

Arcadia:

This can be done using Multiply... > Spread... and input the Spacing. Copies will then be placed at the specified spacing as far as you drag the cursor.

Thanks David, I didn't even realize you could do that. Still I've only been using Archicad for a couple of months so I guess there is all sorts of little things I need to pick up on.

Unfortunately there's no way to modify the context menus yet, so we're stuck with the keyboard shortcuts.
