Resolution of 3d images

I am having great difficulty obtaining high res images from archicad. What I want to do is get a very high res image from the 3d window and save as either a tiff (preferable) or Jpeg. I the 3D window settings box I have adjusted the the 'window size in pixels' to 4048/2669 which seems to be the largest available, however the result is very inconsistent and even when it works the size of the resultant image is still too small.

I am rendering with the internal engine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Conrad

it would be great if you could post a picture of your result.
