Roof intersections not working

Here is an interesting thing. My AC17 roof connection is not working as it should. I've got an existing hip roof in plan and tried to add another section of roof (over an extension) to it. In the past, roof intersections have always worked but now....nothing. I should clarify that the the full hip roof was created using the space-bar on external wall perimeter method.

When a create a single panel roof with same pitch and construction, and try to add the same roof extension to it, the intersection works perfectly. Is this a bug or another helpful AC17 setting that has to be adjusted somewhere?

What method are you using to join the roofs? Connect, or command-click, or SEO or ? Command-click only works between single-plane roofs.

I used command-click because that is what I used last time I had to connect a roof. I've never used 'connect' to do so. When was that changed?

Kees:

Command-click has always been just for single-plane Roofs. The Multi-Plane Roof can be exploded into single-Plane Roofs to make this work. Cropping (command-click or Crop command) is static, Connect and SEO are dynamic.

What I have noticed is that a hip roof constructed from individual plans joined with the command-click method and looking exactly the same as the spacebar or outline created multi-roof icon, CAN have other roofs attached to it using the command-click method. Maybe my previous roofs were generally too complicated for the outline method.

Thank you all. I've never had an issue with roofs before - must be old age!
