see attached.
need the roof objects to read properly "with" a cover fill on.
(see attached, explains it much better).

Under the Custom option you can do what you want I think....

"where" do you access (bring up) that "custom" menu?
is it in the roof objects? the story setting?

OK,
sorry....I see where you bring up the "custom" menu.
it's under the following:
Floor Plan Display>Show on Stories>"Customs"
(that's where that custom menu to alter the look of the roof is).

thanks sir.

Updated my post below with a better screen shot:

It is in the roof settings under floor plan display > show on stories > Pull down menu shows up and select custom.

Hope this works for you.

Glad it worked out, maybe it's so you can remember how to change the settings 🙂

THANKS.....but....one less thing I need to have in me peeny brain. I'd like these objest (out of the box) to come ready to be used properly...not for me to have hunt and peck thru pull-downs upon pull-downs upon hidden arrow pull-downs to make it graphically be represented properly. Just my opinion.
Kinda like the "stairs"......."Create Stair"...then we have to go thru all these "shutting down of parameters" cause they don't read right.....pointless but thanks for your insight.
it worked.

Sorry I can't help you there but I hear ya.

There are some templates out there that you could use that might work better for you, shoegnome (http://www.shoegnome.com/template/), bim6x (https://bim6x.com), master template (http://www.actemplate.com)

Our office has a good template with the standard settings we like and we regularly update it as needed.

I hear what you are sayin' bout the "templates".
The good analogy about Templates are like "standards", there are so many from which to chose from. 😉
