Rotating the arrows without rotating the objects

Emkave

Good day. Does anybody knows a way how to rotate the direction of arrows of certain objects like beams and arcs without changing the position of the object itself?

Here below how is it is originally (it is a beam)

Here how it became:

But it is not correct. I am trying just to rotate the arrows, not the objects as well.
Does somebody know how this can be achieved for beams and arcs?

Operating system used: Windows

When you say 'objects', do you mean actual objects (as in GDL objects) or elements?

With walls you can invert the direction, but not with beams or lines/arcs.

If elements, then where do they get the arrows from?

Is that a symbol line type?

If it is a symbol line type, you could create one in the opposite direction and just swap it.

Barry.

Yes, mostly I mean lines, vectors, beams, arcs. Basically the objects that have direction vectors. Like in my example with beams

There is an add-on to change line/polyline direction of a symbol line, but doesn't work for 3D tools.

You can download it (after registration) on Czech partner website

I think that easiest way to change the direction of symbol line is to duplicate it in attributes and mirror the symbol. Then, if it is too late in project change in element setting.

When you cannot use the Rectangular drawing method and have to resort to manually drawing a square with the Poly drawing method because your cannot reverse the direction for your Complex Profile orientation...
