Hi. Someone please help. I'm trying to change the width of the my staircase but when I change it in the settings it goes back to previous width. The highest it's going to is 950mm width

Or if you want to adjust just the width of one side of the stair, you can adjust the 'boundary' of the sitar rather than the reference line.

The reference line is the single blue line on one side of the flights.

The boundary is a green line on both sides of the flights.

Select the stair by clicking on the non-reference side or TAB key while hovering on the reference line until the info box says "Boundary of"

Is that because you have a 'U' shaped stair and the reference line is on the outside?

The flights can't get wider because they can't overlap each other.

The reference line position will stay fixed.

You will either have to move the reference line out, or ad an offset before you can increase the flight width.

Thanks for the response Barry.

I thought about the reference line I moved it to the outside and that completely disfigured my staircase and readjusting it is bringing issues. How do I add an offset

I changed it and the stair width is still at 950

Because you are using the settings dialogue, you must change the offset first, then OK, then change the flight width.

But you can't change the flight width anyway, as you are restricted by the walls - a wider stair case won't fit.

Off setting will affect the entire stair.

Looks like you might just want to move one edge of your stair - you can adjust the reference line like any other polygon with the pet palette.

Stretch the top reference line in your image.

That will create a gap between the flights, then you can increase the width of the flights to close that gap.
