Shell as 'tilted slab' ?

Hi!

Is there a way to use shelltool in a way like our polygontools like slab, fill, roofs?

I want to skip the method 'draw slab with holes in it' -> 3d -> save as gdl object to make it vertical. If not correct, begin from scratch..

Could I use shell tool to draw a vertical plane with a thickness that I can cut holes in?

I am sure it could be done but it wouldn't be the easiest method.
I am assuming you want to model an irregularly shaped wall in elevation (ie not rectangular).

You can create a flat shell in whatever shape you want then "free" rotate it and cut holes.
That entails creating a curved (semi-circular) shell (extruded simple shell) and then adding a node to the curved profile which will make it flat.
Then defining a shell contour and then rotating it and cutting the holes in the shell.

But you are probably better off just creating a standard wall with the openings you wnat and then using a complex profile wallcreated in the shape you want tand then using Solid Element Operations to leave the intersection of the two.
So you will have a real wall with openings cut in the shape you want.

The problems with custom profile is that I want to do a large 'profile' that is very thin. And sometimes the 2d projection on plan is hard to get as I want.

I think the answer is yes.
You can create an Extruded Shell the Profile of which is basically a straight line. That will be extruded in space. That gives you a rectangular slab.
Then you can define a polygonal contour for it, plus you can place as many holes in it as you want.
Then you can rotate it freely in 3D to the position you want.
The best is that its 2D will reflect all these changes, even SEOs.

On the other hand, I believe it wont play nice with other walls in plan view.
