Silhouette and contour lines not showing in 3D

Hi all,

I've got this very simple Slab Element which, when viewed in 3D using the Technical Drawing options as set here:

refuses to show any contour lines whatsoever. If I select it in 3D I can see it; but if it's not selected then not. Compare the two shots below:

The Building Material I have used for the Slab came from a Revit import. I suspected something may have been wrong with that BM, so I checked one-by-one all its parameters, against the material of other elements, but couldn't identify anything.

Oh, and that wall in the back? It's the same BM, and yet it shows normally.

I've pulled all my hair. Any pointers as to what I may be missing will be so welcome. Thanks!

Hmm... @Mahmoud Qenawi , interesting observation! I have no idea!

This material is one of a few in my initial project file, all created in the import process from the Revit model. For the life of me I can't find anywhere within Archicad to enable or disable the 'pen' of the outline for the texture assigned to it.

All of the materials created in the Revit->Archicad import are set up the same way - the bounding box is white for the texture in the Building Materials panel. Every other material (i.e. those set up within Archicad) have a black line as a bounding box.

Looks like a bug to me. Not sure how to report this - @Barry Kelly ?

Best way is to contact your local Archicad support so you can discuss it with them.

If you have no luck there, let me know and I can try reporting directly to Graphisoft.

In that image, it appears to be a white pen around the surface sample.

But I have no idea where you can control that.

In the surface settings you can control the hatch pattern pen colour, but that is not the element edge.

Barry.

I noticed the video you attached why don't you just change the building material attached to that problematic slab? Any reasons?

In the end what is your Objective?

I did.

But in doing so I admitted to myself that I couldn't resolve the 'why' of this issue.

Hi @alexliz

Just one more test to be done: please check if you have an applied Graphic Overide Combination where there is a rule with the option Hide Model Contours checked.

Hi @Ricardo Lopez , thanks for this. As you can see from the video, when I switch to a different Building Material all shows correctly. Not being affected by any GO (which I am not using here to begin with). Good shout, I wish it was this.
