Steel Sections for Beams and Columns

Does anyone have a collection of steel sections for beams and columns that they would be willing to share?

I am about to start a bunch of structural steel models and it would be great not to have to create all the profiles from scratch. It's not a big deal to do - I'll only make the ones I need of course - but it would be nice not to have to take the time.

Why not use the objects? Remember that sloping beams and columns distort the shape so they are no longer accurate...

Always wandered, what is the use of Beam & Column Tool when we have Beam & Column Objects? I only use Objects in the default AC library, any one else?
Thanks,
Joseph

I asked the same question about a year ago: here

Since then, I have played with the Complex Profiles a bit more, but (unlike Matthew's comment) had problems with the beams cleaning up correctly (if at all).

I use them for an occasional trim piece here and there... that's about it

I assume you mean Column & Beam Tool; but trim what? When I hear trim is see SEO?

Trim in that context is a noun, like for moldings, bases, crowns, etc.

Thanks a good use for them finally!

matthew - i wouldn't even begin to use 'complex profiles' for steelwork. the steelwork objects are far more intelligent. they may take a little getting used to - especially for cutting angles - but they are far superior to the rather unfortunately named dumb 'complex' profiles . . .

your time would be better spent working out how to put stretchable cutting plane hotspots on the current steelwork objects - then all steelwork modelling can be done very quickly in the 3D window.

Or you could save even more time/money for a small investment in OBJECTiVE
A number of parts in one Add On.
Very intelligent, easy to use.
There is an extensive Timber and Steel profile library included with
the added ability to split/rotate and more.
