Structural Engineer's horizontal sections

It would be a great help if it was possible to make horizontal sections looking up to help us structural engineers with slab plan drawings.

I believe you can already do this in AC 17 using 3d document features

I don't know how to do this using 3D documents but, I would like to have normal horizontal sections (plan views looking up).
Another suggestion for making horizontal sections is by using the grid system (different grid system on every story) where somebody could attach/bind the slabs, beams columns and other elements to that particular grid, having the ability to extract a plan view of that grid with its elements.
This specific grid system could act like a zone giving quantities of areas, volumes, length of structural or other elements of the structure which belong to it.

Steps to create a 3D plan:
  • 1. On plan view right click
    2. Select New 3D plan from View
    3. Select created plan in navigator and edit settings, look up or down and where the cut line is located.
    4. As a needed work for Reflected Ceilings around create a specific pen set for 3D-Plans so that you can change the pens for doors and windows to white since you cannot turn them off
    5. If you need more flexibility create a Worksheet from this view.

Eduardo hi, I need these looking up plan views for my structural drawings ( I am a structural Engineer).
It wouldn't be right if I use 3D plan views for my structural plans having walls and windows in the structural drawings.

Ok, just giving an example.

First image a "3D Floor Plan" looking up

Eduardo hi, I did make the 3D plan view but I can't find out how to change the settings to look up or down.
In the settings of the dialogue the floor plan cut plane settings is not editable.

ok I found it. It is located in right click "3D document settings" dialogue.

Right click on the 3D Document to get the menu and select "3D Document Settings"

then look for "Floor Plan Projection"
