Text in the favorites box

Is there any way to set up a favorite in the palette that will store the actual text entered into the text box? It has come to my attention that (since I do alot of residential) I use certain general notes everytime in every single plan. Is is possible to automate this function so it is less time consuming.

I don't think it's possible with favorites. It can be programmed into a library part but that can be anywhere from intermediate to highly advanced programming. I think that there are some parts around that can already do some degrees of keynoting, so you might want to check around for those.

As with any favorite, common parameters (like the wrapped/non-wrapped checkbox state) are stored, but not the geometry unique to each placed element, such as the contents of the text block.

A method I recommend for your situation is to create an independent detail window and call it Notes. In that window store all the notes you commonly use. Now whenever you need a note, you can simply open the Notes detail window over the top of your work area and then drag'n'drop them into place. Drag from the text block's center node. Notes can now be drag and dropped onto plans, sections, elevations, details - anywhere you like!

Notes:

You need to drag and drop using a quick action, to get the text block out of the detail window successfully.

Because you can't snap these to elements, this method is not suitable for labels. That's where you can use favorites.

To undo these operations, you will need to click back onto the work area first.

Thanks Link,

I will try this. I have been pulling up previous drawings and copy and pasting. This is time consuming and annoying.
