Trimming roof to dormer

When I trim the main gable to this shed dormer to remove it from the interior, it also deletes the portion underneath the dormer overhang, is causing a hole in the wall and a portion to extend past where I want it. Whats the easiest way to fix this?

Have you tried solid element operations? This doesn’t show correctly on plan though. There is a way to make it work but I can’t remember the best way without tinkering with it.

use crop to roof, always. everything else results in issues.
