Turning Off Trace Reference

this may be a silly question, but how does one turn off the trace reference after opening a source view with layout as reference? It is a very nice feature when arranging layouts, but I find it distracting when working on the actual drawing. Thanks.

I can't turn off this reference in Archicad 18. I've tried all the solutions here, but I can't find where to turn it off.

It now even displays the reference of the ground floor over the ground floor;)

Turning the T&R palette on/off does not turn the actual trace reference on/off.
It is the top left button on the palette that does that.
ALT+F2 is the keyboard shortcut I have - which should be the default as I wouldn't have changed it.
The shortcut works whether the palette is active or not.

ALT+T is the shortcut for turning the T&R palette on/off.

Barry.
