Tying a zone area to slabs archicad

Hi there, 

I want to associate a zone with a slab so if i change the slab, the zone will change accordingly. I understand you can use walls to create a zone, but my floor plan is quite complex for this project and this strategy isn't working for this kind of project.

Slabs can not be associated to zone boundaries.

But if you do not want to use walls, you can use lines.

There is an option in the line settings to make it a zone boundary.

If you select both your slab and your walls when editting, they will both be modified IF their edges / nodes overlap.

Less helpful in your situation if you are wanting to extend zones by drawing completely new walls to clip in.
