Hi there,
I want to associate a zone with a slab so if i change the slab, the zone will change accordingly. I understand you can use walls to create a zone, but my floor plan is quite complex for this project and this strategy isn't working for this kind of project.

Slabs can not be associated to zone boundaries.
But if you do not want to use walls, you can use lines.
There is an option in the line settings to make it a zone boundary.

If you select both your slab and your walls when editting, they will both be modified IF their edges / nodes overlap.
Less helpful in your situation if you are wanting to extend zones by drawing completely new walls to clip in.

Thank you for your ideas. The reason I would like to use a slab is because the design we are currently working on uses quite an open floor plan and I am finding it difficult to create the zones from the walls automatically. The lines could work but its also another step to update the lines if the walls change, I would like to avoid this step if possible.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Just to clarify, you don't need lines and walls in the same place.
It is only if you have an open floor plan area where you have two or more rooms and no dividing walls.
You place a line (set as a zone boundary) and that line will now act like a wall would have.
You can keep the line visible if you want to show the physical room divide.
Or you can make it a white line or wide dotted line so it doesn't print or hide the layer the line is in.
Using the lines means you don't need manual zones and you adjust those lines just as you would the walls.
But if you hide the layer, just remember to show it again when updating zone areas.
