I have an exterior rake wall that is trimmed to roof. When Wall Framing has been assigned to this rake wall, the framing does not show up. It seems that Wall Framing does not like walls that have trimmed to roof. But when in the 3D window before the wall has been trimmed, I would turn off the wall layer and then trim the framing to the roof and it works. But one other problem is there is no double top plate.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to assign Wall Framing to a wall that has already been trimmed and has a double top plate?

couple of things........

• the framing works fine with trimmed walls - i would suggest it's the rake it doesn't like?

• regarding the double top plate - this is a part of the framing object isn't it? or are you modelling it separately and then asking the framing element to ignore top plates? (see attached)
