Custom frame profile with Curtain Walls

Hi,

I have created a custom frame profile and saved it as a library part.

Although when I select it on the Curtain wall settings it appears correctly, then when it is placed it has nothing to do.

See attached images. Why is this happening?

For a curtain wall, you can save a panel as a library element but not a profile ; profiles are based on complex profiles and not library elements. I think you have a complex profile with the same name as the library element displayed as a square by default.

Open this complex profile or create a new one and paste the profile into it.

Normally it will then be displayed correctly.

Bringing this back as it seems that it doesn't seem to work.

I have tried multiple file names and the problem is always the same... the Custom Frame appears correctly in 3D window but it appears only as a square in floor plan...

is there any way to fix this?

Check your modelviewoptions.  Curtainwall settings can be simplified in MVO

Have you set the 3d detaillevel of the frames to MVO or full?

I have a feeling that you have to enter object's gdl and draw the 2d that you want....

I saw it somewhere and i have to search it.......
