Hi,Is there a quick way of getting the trimmed wall height without using elevations or cross sections?

There is a choice in the trim to roof dialog to set the wall height to its trimmed value. This can then be read in the info palette. It has to be done at the time of cutting, there is no going back and resetting it except by undoing and redoing the trim or the manual aproach in elevation as yo describe.

3D window. Plase the user origin at the bottom of the wall, then the cursor at the top, read the Z coordinate. The height of the wall is also spelled out in the Info box.
