Walls in schedule but not in model!

Hello all.

I am having a problem to detect and delete some walls i see in a schedule.
I have tried everything from this page: http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/troubleshooting/3d-modeling/missing-elements-troubleshooting-guide/ but I still can't locate them.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Have you tried selecting the wall in the schedule and then pressing the 'Select on Floor Plan' or 'Select in 3D' buttons?

Yes. In 2D in doesn't select anything and in 3D I get the following message...

It can't be a layer turned off because the walls are in the Archicad layer and that can't be turned off.

But check your renovation filters to make sure they are not being hidden by those.
You should have a renovation filter that is called something like "Show all elements".
Turn that on to see if you can find the walls.

Out of pure luck I found the solution!

Someone who worked with the file had marked some walls (with the mark-UP tool) and his comments were hidden. This made the elements invisible!

There are so many ways to lose elements these days.

Things to check when elements appear to be missing:

Layer visibility all layers except ArchiCAD layer
Renovation Filter Options almost anything except markers
Partial Structure Display structures set as Finishes
Model View Options various construction elements, fills, zones, doors, windows, skylights, library parts
Mark-up Entries almost anything

Also...

On-screen View Options roof pivot lines, hatching, source markers and ranges, drawing frames, master items, drafting and editing aids and various handles
Work Environment detail boundaries
Filter and Cut Elements in 3D for elements missing in the 3D window only
Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings for elements missing on certain stories
Hide Cut Elements for cut elements missing in interior elevations
Reference Options for elements missing in trace references

Did I miss any?!

Cheers,

A few additional ones:

-Show on Renovation Filter setting of an element, when it is set for the element to be displayed only with a specific Renovation Filter.
- Any element may be covered by a fill or another element (such as a Slab with a cover fill)
- Some GDL objects can be 2D only so they won't display in 3D type Viewpoints. Or they may have a parameter to turn off their 3D.
- In the Issue Details Dialog the Show Markers field may cause some or all Change Markers to not be displayed.
- When going to the 3D Window the camera is set to be looking away from the model so nothing is displayed.
-Section/Elevation/Interior Elevation horizontal or vertical range is defined/modified so no elements are visible in the defined space.

Good list to keep in mind, handy.

I've also had problems with the 3D field of view changing to 1° making it impossible to see anything in 3D.
