What scale?

Not applicable
Hi everybody. I am coming from an AutoCAD background and I get a bit confused with some things in ArchiCAD.

On the plan window there is a scale option on the lower left. What is that for? We draw things in life size.... can somebody explain this to me?

It's the output scale. User Guide Vol. 1, pg. 25 if you need a discussion.

You do work in life size, BUT you produce drawings in scale. Therefore stuff looks different in different scales, the texts get smaller or larger relative to the drawing (unlike what you are used to).

Try placing a door and changing the scale. Look at the door.

Get used to this, it is a life saver.
