Why can't I see/select separator lines in my composites?

I can see it when the composite is selected. But no "light mercedes" icon when hovering over it.
See attached.

Its the same material, to get around this problem I have duplicates of the same material.
e.g Paint - Tea - 00 & Paint - Tea - 01

Thanks Danj.
That was it.
I had tried using a duplicate Building Material,
But It didn't work until I changed the Material's Fill.

In AC17, cut fills do not merge within the same Composite. I just double checked. Does the same thing occur in Floor Plan or 3D Document with this roof? Do you have legacy intersection method on or off?

I see how the separator lines appear when it's OFF.

With legacy on, it will behave as per AC16 (mostly), so with legacy off we improved the appearance of cut lines on composites/profiles in all views to be more consistent. But this is only a feature of AC17 with the legacy checkbox off.

OK, got it.
I'm slowly transitioning to full AC 17 functionality (i.e. Building Materials) and as this project started in AC16,… I'm keeping legacy on.
Thank you James.
