Maybe is better to assign a beam (with priority as you had before) to another layer and give this layer a higher priority, for example 2. Because the priority of layers is probably higher than intesection priority, But I am not sure if there will be a good connection between the insulation beam and the insulation wall, then you probably have to give all the insulation element to this layer.

But you just have to remember to do the update for the layer combination !!!

Or as an option, I would make it a separate wall

Can you show me only the separate wall you mentioned?
Now the image is not accurate...
It is difficult to understand. How many?
What is one and what is the other?

Actually, I don't know if this option will be good for you. My point is that you can only divide a piece of the wall into 3 parts in that section of the wall where you have the door !

This method has problems with to from zone.
Do not use thin walls.
Thin walls don't solve the floor plan.
So you need something else to solve the insulation part.

If you do not need the wall to continue below the door, I would be tempted to end the wall above the door. In that way there is no wall to cut your header beam. This would only work if your wall is set to Symbolic Cut though, and you would need to break your wall into parts around your door...
