Why is my railing not parallel to the stair stringer?

The railing works for me on the flat deck, but not on the stair with Magic Wand. Also, is there a Masters degree available for the Archicad Stair and Railing tools?

The issue here is the Hotspot of the Stair that the Railing is associating to.

When you start a stair with a Riser the initial Hotspot will be a Tread Depth short of where the railing should be connecting to. If you select both the Stair and Railing you will see that their references lines do not run parallel as the Stair reference lines starts vertical.

When I encounter this I manually move the Railing node. Sometimes, if your Railing is associates with a slab at the bottom it will automatically move the Railing node while staying associated with your stairs starting Hotspot.

I'd be pleased to get a Bachelor's of Stair & Railings...
A (SRED) Stair & Railing Equivalency Diploma at the very least.
