Why isn't "Show Above Relevant Stories" available for stair description?

Stairs that I've modeled before offer a checkbox for stair description "Show Above Relevant Stories" which I have unchecked so that the description only displays on the bottom story.

I made a new stair and now that checkbox isn't there (not even greyed out, it's gone).... how do I get it back?

Could you post 2 screenshots?
One for the Floor Plan Display page settings, one for the Description page settings.
