Windows in Custom Profiles

I have a custom profile wall with a brick base and EIFS above. When I install doors and windows the plan view show tem aligned in the metal stud wall but the 3d view show them to be clearly outside the EIFS face. If I adjust the reveal so the 3d shows proper alignment in the wall the plan shows the window or door to be inside the interior space.

Attached is a view of the first circumstance.

Did you adjust the "opening reference" lines, in the Profile Manager?

in your case I believe it is possible to control, not having seen any frame from the outside (see figure 1);
if you have think outside the frame is not possible (see figure 2) I could not do.

Generally this behavior (bug IMHO) happens because windows/doors ignore the opening reference line and instead "read" the thickness of the wall at the 'anchor' for the window/door.

In this case, change the window 'anchor' in the settings dialog to be the 'head' - which is the thinner EIFS part of the profile - and things should come out OK.

The Reference Line has never worked as advertised IMHO.

Thanks,
I had the reference point at the face of the exterior sheathing. I went back to the profile manager and removed the footing and the window frame move slightly but it is still outside the face of the EIFS wall. See attached.
I changed the the anchor point in the window dialogue , and the opening reference in the profile but that didn't have any effect.
What I find odd is that in plan the frame is exactly where it should be.
Are there any other work arounds?

OK.
I went into the profile manager and moved the outline(which I now realize is the opening reference line) that was previously at the face of brick to the reference point. Works perfectly.

Thanks
