ZONE ISSUE - V.16

Anonymous
Not applicable
I can't get the inner edge method of zone placement to work. It keeps telling me there is no closed polyline around the point. If I just go draw a room out in space using the rectangular geometry method I can place a zone using the inner edge method so it doesn't seem like its the zone tool.

All the walls in my plan appear to be resolved into each other properly, they all have the same top and bottoms, no apparent gaps between walls... any advice? I really do not want to have to do every zone in this building with the manual method.

Ok... it's exactly the same... If I assign the DOOR = Existing, it pulls the existing room label, if DOOR = New then new room label...

Let's figure out a way to massage this, because rooms can get re-purposed yet keep old doors!

And the entire plan can change requiring a new room numbering system...

Soooo....

I am open to suggestions on this zone affiliation... I keep running scenarios in my head and the fall apart somewhere. I guess I just keep hoping zones to be more chameleon like... and SWITCH based on LAYER (or reno status) visibility.

Also, please update the NCS LABEL to add
LOCATION + DOOR ID

either along with ROOM ID + DOOR ID
or instead of (because you can link LOCATION to ROOM ID)...

Thanks for listening....
