brick lattice in elevation

Anybody know how to make brick lattice in elevation.. In reality, it's every other brick missing in the wall. The remaining bricks are squished together so one rests on top of the other. I took a pic and applied it to a wall, it looks good in 3d, but in 2d elevation I have to use a regular brick fill which looks pretty bad.
See attached pic.

Do you just want the fill pattern for the elevations? Or a texture map with transparency? Or a solid material with gaps where the holes are?

Its the half full half empty paradox.
Are the bricks removed and the rest squished, or are they all just expanded?
Far out, man.

Is your question how to make ANY custom hatch or how to make THIS custom hatch?

You can make with Texture.
In this case you can recognise just in photo rendering.
Otherwise you must make with simple GDL.
For example the wall by Mrio Botta is not so easy to make with CAD.

Draw the pattern you want with lines and copy/paste into a new symbol fill type. You can then assign this fill pattern to your material to get it to draw in 3D hidden line views and elevations.

Matthew, thanks. That looks like the info I'm looking for. Will give it a try.
