cannot open folder to merge

OK, I'm attempting to merge a dwg into ArchiCAD 9, however the folder is grayed out. The folder is not locked or anything. There is another folder on the network that this has happened to and I have no clue whats going on.

I'm running OS X, and ArchiCAD 9 build 2172.

either a folder or the AC file name has a name that it is too long. AC09 and 10 have a 27 letter limit for names.
