change renovation combination - lose undo/redo options

Undo/Redo is a useful function for various model management 'stuff'. I often delete stuff, planning on undoing the delete. Just this morning, I was trouble shooting a cluttered "new elevations" renovation view, and some of the new windows were muddling with the demo windows. I deleted the new windows, switched to "existing elevation" in the renovation pallet, then went to Undo the delete, and it was not an option.
if this is an intentional design feature, maybe it shouldn't be?

I wonder if that is because the 'new' windows are not visible in the 'existing elevation' renovation view?

Would make no sense to bring back a window that can't be seen?
