the 2, 3, and 4 options in "preferences", "working units and levels" is greyed out and it wont let me pick them.
i have gone into edit database and everything there was imperial, i added millimetres with 4 decimal places but it still doesnt come up in the "working units and levels" dialogue.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer, but I'm curious as to why you'd want to work to 3 or 4 decimal places of a millimetre - are you in nano engineering?

I think 1/10th of a millimeter is the most you can set. It is a feature.
I guess it is enough for most people.

anyone know how i can change to 3 or 4 decimal places when in millimetres?.

building tolerances are usually in the 10-20mm magnitude . . .
