column grid in elevations

Is there any way to have a column grid automatically show up in elevations - or do I need to draw these in manually? Ideally, I want the grid to shift in the elevation view if I change it in the plan views.

Thanks.

That depends -- what version of ArchiCAD are you using? You can do this in AC10 with the Grid Element.

We are working in AC10. Is this Grid Element part of the Structural Grid Add-On - or should I be looking somewhere else?

Appreciate your help!
Good question. It is not the "Structural Grid" add-on, but the "Grid Tool” add-on available from the Goodies download webpage (you actually don't want the two add-ons loaded at the same time). There are instructions for it's use on the webpage as well -- but the tool can be a bit fussy (as can be witnessed in other topics on this forum).

Thanks - I guess I now have to decide if I want to delete the grid I have using the the structural grid tool, and start over with the other one.

Thanks again for the help!
It probably is worthwhile -- depending on the size of your project and how far along you are...

Thanks again for the tip. I did go back and redo the grids and it was definitely worth the time investment.
