composite dialog size

I wasn't sure where to ask this. OK so: I open the composite dialog box. Next you click on the composite that is current and it brings up a dialog box showing all the composites in the project/template. The box isn't wide enough to see the full names. Is there a way to make it bigger so it shows full names? I have like 10 composites that all say the same thing because it cuts out the middle of the names. I have to click each one to figure out which is the correct one. Then when I select it in a tool, lets say the slab tool. I have to count down that many to make sure I pick the correct one because you can't see the full name in the properties window(autocad name, not sure the name of the palette in archicad)either. Then I still need to open that composite after I place it to make sure I used the correct one or mouse over it to see which one I place.

Is there a way to always show the full names. I searched, but I couldn't find anything remotely close to what I was looking for.

I'm on a window 10 machine. We have solo on a MAC too. I never use it but maybe I'll check to see how it shows up there. It's just a super PITA only showing half the names. I don't want to have to go in and change our whole naming convention so I can actually see what composites are what.

I hope to read soon your answer about testing on macOS

It shows the entire composite name in both the composite window and the toolbar on a MAC running 22 solo. Maybe it's just another shortcoming of Archicad on a windows machine. Not a game changer, but still a pain. Be great if there was a way to fix it. I don't even know what to google. If you google things like "archicad show full composite names" you just get all the help pages for composites. Nothing really relevant.

Any one have an answer for this. I was just using a project that must have had 100 composites. Couldn't tell what was what just by the list. There was 10 and 15 in a row that said literally the same thing because of how archicad shortens them, but all are different.

As you mentioned yourself, I think you will find it is a Windows OS problem.
Or at least the way Archicad is written for Windows OS.
I just checked in 23 Beta and there is no change unfortunately.

Graphisoft's official answer is that it is indeed a windows issue.

I'm looking into changing a registry value in windows to allow wider pop up dialog boxes. If I figure it out, I'll post the directions here. I'm sure lots of people would love it to show full names on windows. If anyone has more windows registry skills than me that can figure it out before I do, input is welcome.

Maybe ask over on StackExchange?
