I would simply like to know what are the visible differences between Elevation and Section commands in arhicad...?

None basically.

They sort differently in the Project Map so I use them to organize my views. Elevations and Interior Elevations with the Elevation tool and Sections and Wall Sections with the Section Tool. I don't use the Interior Elevation tool because I never can get it to do what I want.

There is one difference: The Section Tool can have a Zero-depth horizontal range, the Elevation Tool does not have this option. Otherwise they have pretty much the same functionality.
