or maybe im going about this all wrong. maybe i need to use columns and an arched beam. i dont know, im lost

in elevation, this 12" wide 9" deep archway "band" needs to continue being 12" wide all the way around the archway. meaning, i need to figure out how to put an arch on the outside of the arched opening i created, leaving a 12" thick band archway... maybe im going about this all wrong. maybe i need to use columns and an arched beam. i dont know, im lost

nice, the add-on you mention is free ?
otherwise I would have used a "TUBE" GDL object along the
parametric equation...
