to make a moulding in archicad you have the profiler default archicad addon.
WHY do you care to make it with a mesh anyway ?
what are the reasons .. in other programs (for 3d modelling )the mesh it is a very flexible entity in 3d but in archicad only for terrain it is suitable . to make a mould with gdl or addons like
archiforma by cigraph ( free downloadable and with 10 free consecutive utilizations for every archicad session - fully functional addon )or the profiler addon located in "goodies"
subdirector of an regular archicad installation.
the most logical way to have a mould is to extrude a planar shape to a open or closed polygonal path wit an extrusion tool or gdl script command
for working with big meshes i recommend architerra addon
with fully functional demo
