The eye dropper matches one object, and assigns all its settings to another.
The preferred method for what you want to do it "Find & Select" all the elements you want to change (perhaps in the 3D window, to access all floors), then make the change to all elements at one time.
This provides you with the ability to change only certain parameters, and to do so more quickly than individually finding and changing each element (assuming you have more than just 2 or 3).
