One of the new features in the coming ArchiCAD 15 release is Free Rotation in 3D. We shall have to see how it actually pans out when we can actually download it.

My mistake. I saw the "Free Rotate in 3D" feature listed as its own new feature in the list on this page:

Not clear that it applies to only one tool.

what is that mean? as final result is this feature is going to be applied on all tools or just shell like curtain wall i also read it free 3d rotate that what i am waiting for Ncornia i hope you mean you are right and not opposite because this will save long time from 3d projection setting untill put it as object

I would hope the Free Rotate in 3D applies to more than just the shell tool since one of Graphisoft's major initiatives in 15 is to enhance the design process in the 3D window.

The Free Rotate in 3D command is available on the Pet Palette in 3D.
It can be used on Curtain Walls, and now with AC15, on Shells.
It is not available for other element types.

that is very disappointing for All archicad users i loved this waited version i can not believe this that we do not have further editing in 3d
i hope Graphisoft know that the better thinking for architectect and academic students come from 3d modelling first more than 2d editing because switching from 3d to 2d much make me dizzy
please do something or inform graphisoft
