label tool with NCS 14 acting crazy

I am trying to do a simple label using the Object Indicator NCS 14 with custom text and an arrowhead, but the text is appearing on top of the arrowhead, or the line and arrowhead are disappearing entirely, or the text is jumping away from the line and arrowhead. Sometimes, if I move the whole label, then the text jumps to the correct position. This is obviously some sort of bug, but how do I fix it?

After the Label is placed, try changing the Rotation Angle to 180˚. A similar problem was reported here:

rotation angle doesn't affect it. but if I move it, or restart the program it corrects itself. I'lll just use a text box instead....
