is it at all possible to multiply elements along a reference line that is neither straight nor a regular arc-circle?
in AC 9, that is.

Out of the box, no.

The Control Palette will let you get evenly spaced point on an arc or spline though, so you can place them rather easily.

There used to be an add-on that automated this, but just now checking their website seems to be gone.

the idea was to place elements not only evenly spaced, but also respectively rotated to a spline.
manual adjusting the orientation of evenly spaced elements is something i would rather avoid.
if possible...
but, apparently not.

thanks

OK, then no.

The add-on was by Oleg from Arexline. It spaced elements along a curve and rotated them as they went. I don't know what happened to them.

Sorry!
