odd behavior

I have recently been having two different problems. First I have lost the ability to select objects by clicking on them, I can still use the "drag a square over an object method" to pick it up but that of course highlights everything in the area. Most annoying though is the inability to quickly modify text or notes by double clicking. I have had to select the text and then open the settings window to modify.

Also, this is unrelated to the first issue... The program has suddenly started sporadically going blank (maybe when it regenerates?). The problem is the navigator stays "whited out". Only if you run the mouse over it do the buttons/ list of drawings/ etc. start coming back.

I recently had a bug notification after the program crashed. I had been trying to modify 5 or so detail symbols at once and the program simply shut itself off. This is the bug report #2009-03-12-05-20-36-2217 if thats of any use to you

Thanks for your help!

I'd be guessing that you have the snap to grid option turned on.
Is there a little black dot jumping around near your cursor?
If so turn the snap off (just press "S" on the keyboard).

I have see your other problem but have no solution for it.
Usually a restart of the computer will get rid of it.
If it is happening all the time it could be a video card driver issue or maybe a lack of memory problem.

The other possibility is that the Quick Selection mode of the Arrow Tool has been accidentally turned OFF so surfaces are not recognized by AC anymore.
