"Elevation dimensions" on plans?

Hi,
I was trying to make dimensions showing height of certain points on my floor plan. But I didn't manage to get anything reasonable.
Suppose I have a wall of height 4000 and base level of 0. How can I make level dimension of top or bottom of this wall?
Or I have a roof of some not rectangular shape. How can I check what is height of this roof in certain point measuring it (not making additional geometrical construction) in 2D plan window? And how to show this dimension on plan, associated with this roof if possible to be updated automatically when roof angle changes?

Can somebody point mi right way to do this?

fantastic! well. almost - having it available just as the other dimension tools would be far better. i had always just assumed that the "autotext" options simply placed text after the measured value.

John Hyland suggested this in a thread called "Reflected Ceiling Plans".
I don't know which label he was using.
Perhaps John could tell you.

that is because there is one right below . Sometimes i think my eyes play games and i see things double in that dialogue.

He has contact information in his signature.

For info, the level displayed is only the height of the pivot reference of the roof.
The global variable "glob_elevation" would work for slabs too, just need to take off the thickness of the slab if you need the underside. (result height above storey)

Edit: if you include Glob_ID in the script you can easily control the description of the level from the info box
or add a parameter to make a level relative to the origin rather than a height above the storey using "GLOB_CSTORY_ELEV"
