"Store drawing in the project file" button

Does anyone have a good understanding of what Archicad does when you have the "store drawing in the project file" button selected or deselected in the drawing selection settings. I can't find an explanation in the help.

It keeps a 2D copy of the drawing content stored in the file. If you turn it off, every time you open the file, every drawing will have to update before you can see the drawing's content. If you leave it on, you will always see the last updated version of the drawings.

Plotmaker had a similar feature.

Tom, thanks for the info.

When I have it deselected my file size drops from 39mb to 10mb, which is bloody important when you are uploading the file every day.
