could someone please give me some pointers on doing ridge capping on a roof?? iv never really bothered as we wernt doing in detail renders but i think were heading in that direction so i wanna add all these smaller details onto the model.. iv tried the ridge capping in the library and its hopeless..they dont clean up on the corners where they join and for some reason every time i stretch them to the hights i want the outer flanges disappear leaving onthe round part on top

i had the same problem, and was messing around with the ridge tile object for ages, sometimes i would spend a whole day placing the tiles in the correct places.

then i purchased Cadimage, and it does it all automatic like. 10 mins adjusting a few things and its done. also adds sofit/downpipe/fascia.

so well worth the investment.plus you get some extra goddies with the suite purchase

good luck

I agree, unfortunatley. If you want extra realism done quickly, cadimage is the go. I say unfortunatley, only because it should be standard with ArchiCad and it shouldn't cost extra. Cadimage stuff is great.
Have you tried the AUS Lib ridge capping and the GS version?
