here is the picture of the basement floor plan. the trace is on and it shows the stairs from above down to this basement. why is the stairs not showing ? I have checked my section and it the stairs is correctly located from above leading to basement.

Have you set the properties of the stair object to "Show on home storey and one storey below"?

here the section showing the stairs going down to basement. the basement plan is not showing. i also attached the floor cut plane. any help???

Try selecting the object and looking for a setting called '2d detail level'. Set this to 'scale sensitive'.

Also check the ' 2d above home storey' settings are all checked.
