Im relatively new to archicad and am currently creating a building using composite walls but am not sure how to get the squiggly line for insulation into the composite structure. I have found the line style under Options>Element Attributes>Line Types... but how do I get it from here to the composite structure? I hope I'm making sense here.
I was going to suggest splitting the insulation skin in two and using your insulation linetype for the line between the two resulting skins, but it seems you can't use symbol linetypes in composites. Anyone want to make a wish?
if you find a way to do it, don't! Your PDFs will grow too much. Use a fill pattern in your composites, or just an empty or grey fill, and then in your details only, overlay with the sqiggly symbol line.
Using symbolic linetypes in composites is a longstanding wish and GS are well aware of it! In the meantime, the best solution IMHO is using the insulation library part.
